The Master’s Secret: For large, detailed indoor murals, we often replace toxic aerosols with professional HVLP spray guns or airbrushes. To do this, we expertly mix heavy-body artistic acrylic tube paints with specific ratios of water and mediums, achieving the perfect fluid consistency for flawless, highly-detailed spraying.

If you have ever watched a street artist create a glowing planet in minutes, you have witnessed the magic of masking.

Artists use circular objects like bowls, buckets, or custom-cut lids as stencils. We spray the textured background of the planet first, cover it with the bowl, and then spray the dark cosmic background over the entire piece. When the bowl is removed, a perfect, glowing sphere is revealed.

One of the most fascinating aspects of Aerosolgrafia is the rejection of traditional paintbrushes. To create the rugged surface of a moon or the jagged edge of a mountain, artists manipulate wet spray paint using household items.

Glossy magazine pages, crumpled plastic grocery bags, or sea sponges are pressed into the wet paint and quickly peeled away. This randomly removes paint layers, creating incredibly organic, hyper-realistic textures in seconds.

Because spray paint dries incredibly fast, a master artist must have the entire composition memorized before spraying the first drop. This “mental layout” dictates exactly which layers go down first (background to foreground).

We build the painting through predetermined blocking. After the main elements are set, we add ambient effects—like shooting stars, glowing haze, or water reflections—using fine palette knives, window scrapers, or even our bare fingers!
